abby looks like who?

Ever since I’ve started working in KL, I’ve been staying with my grandparents whom is my mother parents. Everytime when I go for breakfast at the nearby kopitiam outside my house, I would get remarks like

“ aiyor, your granddaughter looks like XXX ( my mum’s nickname) when she was young”

Or

“ your granddaughter looks EXACTLY like yr daughter”

And on and on and on……on and on.....

It had always been the same comment and whenever I’m introduce to my mum’s friend or some new people. They would say that I look exactly like her…..( what the ???)

Anyways, here's a photo of my mum, everyone and me,

no prizes for those who can guess who is me...

I dun see where the resembles are because clearly, I’m more prettier than her….

(now if she reads this, she will totally disagree with all that I’m saying but as a matter of fact it is the truth…that I am prettier than her. ..hahahahahahahah)

Now take a good look and Abigail, Abigail is my youngest sister and she is this smarty pants whom u will enjoy talking to….

#abby is a charmer.....isn’t she cute? This photo was taken in Singapore at suntec. After feasting on some jap food…as usually , she will do weird poser for photo shoot....this one was quite normal cause it was really difficult to find one that was normal.....now everyone who knows abby will know that she looks like my dad, and she too knows that herself....

Now, this photo that you see below is my mum’s family tree… can you guess which one is she?

( Hint : abby looks like here )

Still can’t guess???.. omg! My mum is the second from the left….c'mon!!the two person seating is my grandparents….

They look somewhat crumple & crinkle up now in reality…. so better not post them up here!!

# take a closer look at Abigail in picture 2… now she does look like my mum…isn’t it…???

This photo was taken in hong kong if i'm not mistaken, now what do you know, its looks like those who looks like my dad coincidently also looks like my mum..? i think not??

So...if i dun look like my mum nor my dad...then my dad must be this rich tycoon la, mistakenly exchange when i'm still a baby..no wonder i have high taste for fashion and food...ok ok

I kid, i kid...

Or rather, my dad must have hutang ah long some money and had ask my current dad now to membesarkan me.......ok ok

I kid i kid that too.....

I was actually very happy to share this photo that i found yesterday at my grandma house while helping her to clean her cupboard...there were so many photos that i've found about my mum and there are certain pose that until today, elaine has some traits of it...i'm not gonna post those photos here cause later elaine will get emo la......

And if you guys found your parents picture...share it wid us also la...never mind that they wore bell bottoms or retro hair....

Mid Autumn Festival.

Back in 1990s,Mid Autumn festival used to be celebrated with candles dripping all over the paved cemented floor at the yard outside my house, as i grew older, i would play with lanterns walking around with my sister and few of our childhood friends, showing off our best lantern.

Approaching teenage, i would have very adventurous nights of hide n seek with few of my friends from the same neighborhoods. i still remember a game that i enjoyed the most.

The game would actually be two seeker and the rest would actually..duh..HIDE.

The adventurous part of this game? everyone would have to cycle whilst maintaining the lantern. there is actually forbidden zone, and those who hide are only allowed to cycle within the range that we have all agreed.

The rule of the game is that :

-no one should own any lighter/ matches or anything.

- everyone should maintain their lantern.

- lantern should not be burn

-lantern should HAVE light.

Everyone is only given one coloured candle.there will be a lighter tied at the monkey bar in the playground. those whose candles goes off can go and light up their candle again in the playground, but beware of seeker. there are two, and we usually try to avoid that area, Also another hider can't gang up and hide together.

The duration of the game would end when the seeker finds all the hiders ; or if the seekers cant find all of us, then all would have to show their faces 2 minutes before their candles go off. (whichever applies), the first two person who get caught would be the seeker for the next round.

(the colored candle usually last about 20mins). ..oh! by the way, during our time, those who cheats face a terrible consequences. their bike get drip by candles. so No Cheating eh?

Fast forward time, and i can no longer fit in with the kids running around the neighborhoods, also, its too dangerous nowadays..after nurin's case and all.....

Now, I would like to go home and spend my mid autumn festival holding hands with my love ones and watching children playing with candles and lanterns at their porch.

Mid year autumn wouldn’t be complete without mooncake and green tea.

Happy mid autumn festival to ya’ll!

Cold War Versus Addiction!

I actually wanted to blog about my latest addiction with fashion recently but I have been busy fighting the war. Therefore. I shall now tell u d story of my war first then my addiction.

The war I was fighting is a political war with the accounts called miss emo queen, I shall name her that from today onwards.

As I mentioned previously that she often have mood swings and long periods, but the worst had occurred where there was an important case to do last Saturday on 30th june and coincidently, I have other errands to run to, and she had the guts to take leave because she knew that I could not possibly split my body into halves and run both errands at the same time.

Thus, having submitted her leave form, mis emo queen knew that the boss a.k.a Mr Reverse Psychology would approved and she thought that I would have to beg her to stay at work on Saturday cause that was the only choice. Erk!! Xxxx tat did not happen!!

Being a rebel, I could not possibly succumb to all her idiosyncrasy… and although I’m not a blue eye girl, I believe I still stand a chance in this so called “cold war”. so what i did was I sent her an sms stating that she did not keep up to her promise and do not mean what she said.

Miss Emo queen replied: stating that she have forgotten the whole thing and that it was no big deal and would make it to office the next day. Mr. Reverse Psychology also called up to confirm and check if she would make it up to work the next day. But she later breakdown and cried because or according to rumors that my message was so cold and mean. Or that was the story I heard from the others ( other colleague that watch the incident of Ms. Emo Queen breaks down and cry)

Hey, at all time, I was outside and I did not know what misfits she had come up with. Whether she breaks down and cry because of my sms or because someone had called her “FAT” no one really knows what the problem is…

Yes, and so the cold war started since i last blogged and ended yesterday, because I had decided to bring this issue up to Mr. Reverse Psychology. And thus giving him this nickname, I think he would be capable to handle Miss Emo queen because not only is he much bigger and better or more powerful than her. But its because she has a a very huge huge C_USH on him. LOL LOL..sshh...shhhhhhh -----it's a secret k? dun tell anyone...

MEANWHILE
i have been addicted to the latest fashion clothing line, principles and warehouse...they are so suitable For petite people like me...

i love, LOVE , love all their dresses and i've been thinking to get my hands on this, this, this, this and this. i even show those design to my mum, and she tole me that they are so vintage and it was like grandma's dresses during my grandma's days...i wish my grandma didn't threw her dresses away....>_<....
"i was jus kidding..i WON'T wear by grandma's dress even if she keeps it..thats jus so eeewwwwwwww..

But, I so badly want em', and their so freaking expensive..getting all that would actually cost me RM 2,000. that would really burn a big pocket in my hole...a REAL BIG ONE...

because i need to save also for my Perhentian Trip which is coming in next 10 days...

so i'll take loads of pichass...till then

We as human are never contented..never

Recently, a colleague of mine had throw a tantrum during work, showing dissatisfaction with the amount of work load that she have because there is not enough staff to do the job….i’m sure you and I have been in this kind of shoe before? NO??? NEVER???

Either you are not working or you are the boss….

What am I trying to say? Well basically, throwing tantrum or showing unpleasant face to your co-worker is totally acceptable..why?? BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE we all are human…and its very normal that we will have blue day… but what will happen when the blue day becomes BLUE DAYS……???

It will actually affect other co-workers, unless your co-worker is ME , then not to worry cause I’m always happy. But its different when i’m your superior…LOL (Terpesong ady).

People usually accepts that everyone has their bloody mood swings and period once in a month , be it guys or girls… OR AN acceptable BLUE MONDAY …. but been have to face a stuck up crude superior or a moody co-worker really affects you work because not only you need to face this person but 8 hour in a day???

C’mon…….??either you MAKE them QUIT or YOU QUIT…..

And only the strongest will survive,….hahahahhah….okay, I know it sounds a bit scary now but working is not jus work and work.... it you really want to excel…

I think it takes a lot of EQ to survive in today’s workplace, especially if you wants to be the TOP…

Its not jus effort,

Its not jus determination,

Its not jus time,

Its jus responsibility,

It takes that much of passion and extra mile to really excel in something you badly want TO ACHIEVE and how far you will go for it.

Let alone the job, you need to face rude and inconsiderate people along the way who will do anything to make it to the top. And thus being in the same game, you will FIND that life is UNFAIR!

But life never is Fair, and it will never be, its up to you and me to change the mentality… BE contented with life and what God have actually bless us….

Count your blessings today!!

Transformation

Lately, I’ve been very determine to go through transformation. Transformation for better of course. Nevertheless, transformation is a process that takes a very long time and the process is never easy. And although I’m not enjoying it now but I know the outcome will be superiffic ..

“ Privilege is given to those who are willing to go through transformation”

that’s what my Pastor said, he preached that Sunday, I felt that he was actually talking to me.

For a healthier life:

- to drink a glass of water before and after bed ( I sometimes forget this procedure and only end up drinking only the latter part at night)

- stay away from coffee and try to minimize to drinking only one a day... be it coffee, tea or any caffeinated drinks

- eat at least one fruit a day; which is still very impossible to achieve even as I’m writing my blog, I’m till munching on cookies.. macadamia nuts and chocolate chip..mmmmm yummy

- oh ya, CUT DOWN on munching activities, be it cookies, desserts, cakes, muffins; nuts, crackers, salads with overloads cheese and mayonnaise dressings, it should be just salads with no dressings and drink loads of juice or whatever which is kosong la without sugar.

- to cut down on spicy food ( SAMBAL PETAI, nasi lemak, curry laksa, rendang, nyonya rice) which is very very very difficult. Did I said that it was VERY DIFFICULT?

For better prospect at work:

- to set a to do list and check item every morning and before I leave for work;( I hope I can really achieve this)

- to buy a palm/ or pocket pc to store all my data ; so that I can hand carry anywhere and contact all the important person…

- to make a list at the end of the day of what I’ve learned, who was the most fun to interact with and how it contributed towards the success in my life.

- to stop arguing wid my boss because it would jus spell disaster for me;

To be a better person:

-to admit my mistake

- to dress down and try not to be over the top;

- to be at home at least 24 hour(so far I have not been at home for 24 hours yet) I feel the urge to go out most of the time…

- listen actively which most of the time I have failed….( yeah yeah I know )

- to spend more time with my family and friends instead of jus work and work

Undergoing process and its effect :

- spending more time with family and having yum cha session wid friends now ..sounds like good networking but keep slacking at work ...

- manage to make a to do items list everyday but failed to tally the items completed with those that are pending at the end of the day

- succeeded in abstaining from caffeine a whole day but feast crazily during the weekends which is not good….

- I’ve used most of my money shopping so I guess I’m still saving to buy me a pocket pc…keep saving!!!

So, as you can see, transformation is not easy and I’m doing my best to do what I can achieve, sometimes I get really tired, especially the caffeine addict part..i go crazy and I would fantise myself having a sip of coffee or tea and it will totally de-stress me out IMMEDIATELY, but then again without coffee also makes me go to bed early and be early for work; WHICH ALSO MEANS a good and healthy lifestyle..

What say YOU?

Some quote that I read, I’ve forgotten where I’ve read it but it goes something like this

“ God gave men only one brain and one penis but not enough blood to run both at the same time”

Would like to hear from you guys.. True ?

Awakening!

I have been really moody these few days cause my works sucks and I hate everything I do because it all jus crap , crap and I have lost the will to continue to talk about my job.

But yesterday, I felt refreshing after I went to a service an it really change my whole perception and the idea of my job. I wished I could share it with you, he was an African speaker and he gave a very hilarious speech but a very sharp message right through the heart. It was as though he was speaking to you. He preached for an hour and half but I wished he spoke longer. Maybe jus one message that he gave during a closing

“ God will fulfill all your needs according to His richness and Glory”

It means no matter what I’m facing. The One will provide everything for me. And I think that everything happens for a reason. Obstacle only makes one stronger and therefore I rest my case and accepted the whole situation what is goin on in my life right now.

A fren once told me that after winter there would always be spring!

I can't talk

My worse nightmare is not when I fall sick or if I lose my job, my worst nightmare is when I CAN’T TALK……

I’m having a bad ulcer on both side of my tongue, and the pain is frustrating me!!! What worse is that, the ulcer is so huge that everytime I talk, It will rubs against my tooth…at some times, the ulcer would rub deeply against the tooth and some juice would be extracting out from the ulcer……causing excruciating pain… its PAIN PAIN PAIN! Okay okay I know it sounds nasty…..but there is nothing wikipidea or google can say to explain this stupid pain..or others, just healthy diet, drink more water, eat more fruits....(DUH~) who doesn't know that??

It’s affecting my speech now, I look like some 1 year old baby trying to talk a few sentences …my boss must be wondering that I’m nuts….or that he hired a moron who have some speech defect…

How long is this pain going to take…(*** sigh**)

A time for reflections –‘06

Actually, I supposed to post this blog on or before the years end, but what the heck?? I jus wanna make sure that my feelings get poured out here…..

There is a lot that I have done during this year, and there is also relationship that I’ve started and ended this year, there are moments of happiness as well as ..not those happy one….. I’ve also learned to appreciate that there is more to life than what we have now and to cherish your loved ones as well as your friends….
Trust me, you can have tonnes of friends but true true friends are not more that your five fingers!!!

As for the one I loved, I’ve always love them, but sometimes in my life, I tend to take things for granted and neglect what God has actually blessed me ….so what have I learned for the year 2006? What have I achieved? Did I make the right decision? Any regrets?

Let just say that year 2006 is a year of reflections for me,….I’ve done it all:
1. Achievement……good achievement!!! And the not so good ones….
2. Decision, yes….the right and sometimes the wrong
3. And regrets….??well…I Don’t have any regrets.. because I know everything happen for a reason and by growing up I will learn.

I dun wanna live the same life in the same space year after year… so Good bye Year 2006 …2007 will be a brand new start…and i will make sure i'll live up to it!

Love is.......

Love suffers long and is kind,
Love does not envy,
Love does not parade itself,
it is not puffed up,

Love does not behave rudely,
Love does not seek its own,
Love does not provoke,
Thinks no evil,
Does not rejoice in iniquity,
But rejoices in TRUTH

Love bear all things,
Believe in ALL things,
Hopes all things,
Endure all things..

LOVE NEVER FAILS………………..”

Wake up Call

I was sick for merely 20days,
Pneumonia was my case, but that's not my point, what I wanna share actually was my wake up call in life during the time when I was sick.

When I come to think about it, I came to realized that all this while I have taken for granted - my health. It never occurs to me that I would fall really really sick. I tried to fight the viruses in my body physically, spiritually and emotionally, but my mind was not strong enuf because I was getting weaker and weaker each day. Even with money, I could not buy back my health, it was really hard to pass time, and every minute of my life, I really wished that I could discharge immediately and get well like a magic potion..*puff*

I came to realize that life is actually very short and we should learn to cherish and appreciate the one we care, especially our family and our loved ones.

Out of needfulness, we learn to be grateful,
Out of poverty, we learned that one does not need material wealth to be rich
Out of purity of heart, we are reminded that there is no need to be who we are not.
