working or chillin'?

“ fancy place”
that was what one my closest friend told me when I told him where I worked.

The only office suite beside plaza Mont Kiara would have to be Solaris, developed by Sunrise of course. I’m not a fan of Mont Kiara but my new work place somehow ended up here in Solaris. Loads of franchise here like haagen daz, ole-ole bali, garage, Michelangelo, fancy Korean and Japanese restaurant; not to mentioned that the night life is quite happening with the existing pub around the corner. Then again, the parking here is really terrible, people would park anywhere, everywhere as long there is a space, even though there are ample parking space in the basement.

I somehow find Malaysian people quite amusing because these people can be driving a beemer, a Toyota alphrad and not to mentioned the fancy S- Class Merc which are very expensive to be found double park everywhere in solaris, risking their cars to scratches and dust when all they have to do is pay a fixed RM 1 for a basement parking.

Ever since my first day here in Solaris, I’ve been eating very blah food here because not only the food are expensive, they are also tasteless. I really miss “chap Fun” (mixed rice ) where you have a balance of vegetables, meat and variety of drinks. Anyone wanna open up a restaurant here selling CHAP Fun? I really can guarantee return because the office crowd here is really amazing. Or Japanese food like bento set is not too bad too….i’ve been visiting this Japanese restaurant here in Solaris ever since they offer the Japanese set lunch, its as good as inchi-ban in Hartamas.

Speaking of food, I feel like getting myself a quick caffeine fix now, starbucks or coffeebean? Did I also mentioned that you can choose between o ‘briens, coffee bean or starbucks? It may not be an ultimate place to work, but its sure an ultimate place to run away from a while if you dun wanna be at work.

Gotta run now..appointment at killiney kopitiam…

Invest in Australian dollar!

Today the Australian dollar went down, I spent my hours in the day time chauffeuring my boss to exchange cash, her sources tell her that never in history that the dollar had drop so much and if any of you who are planning to go there, dun wait and go exchange now…

Even After a few hours of driving from bank to bank cashing out monies and changing into aus, the dollar went slightly up, so if any of you have extra cash in hand, jus go n play a little while, but please do not indulge in to forex. It’s always a no-no! and no offence to those who are playing.

Anyone know the reason why it drop so much? ….no seriously, I dun know..please update me if you guys have info…

Need to update more often!

Ever since taking up this new job, I realise that I haven’t got the time to blog and my blog looks like its covered with spider perhaps layered of dust. To add things worse, there isn’t any access to broadband because I’m been travelling quite often. Time past really fast and i noticed that my blog has been left idle for 3 months.

There were times when I was waiting at the lounge after checking- in the airport, I’ve been inspired by the people around me doing their thing and I really wanted to blog about life and how each individual is so caught up doing their thing. But everytime after the flight, my draft will continue to stay at the draft inbox and never really make it to the post that I wanted to blog about.

Anyways, I would like to give a big shout out to all my Muslims friends “ Selamat Hari Raya maaf Zahir batin” and remember to give me a call cause I love eating rending… ok kidding..but if you do open house, call me k?..lol

Also, my next trip would be in east Malaysia, K.K, so any of you guys who are going to be there, please gimme a call, we go eat scrumptious seafood k?.. the locals said that the seafood in K.K is really good and really cheap….

* * * *

On the other hand…….the market for property has been very slow lately, that’s is why I have some time to blog, which does not sounds like a good news. Many investors who previously bought property are now selling off their property because they wanna have more cash in hand, which means there is now more supply than demand. Also, the increase price in petrol and everything is not helping any better….but then again, if you have ample amount of cash, the right time to buy is now cause after recession, people will start to buy property again, and the price will go up and you have high possibility selling off your property at a later market and reap a return for 100% in the near future. Then again, its all my prediction. ..lets come back to this post and check out again if my prediction were true. : p....gotta work now, i'll update you guys with my recent awesome shopping trip to bangkok as well as what gwailos do when they are there...

Remembering you for who you are!

I was down with flu and fever,as I sip the hot milo, I remembered you;

How you would come to comfort me when I’m not well,

How you would cover me with the sheets jus to keep me warm, and you would make me a cuppa of anything hot..yes, I would love to have that….to be embraced by you even though you know that I’m sick, it feels good….

to be loved;

to be hugged;

to be kissed at the forehead assuring me that i will be okay;

“ hey, what are you daydreaming about?” my mum broke my thoughts....my reminiscence

i saw my reflection in my coffee; and the reflection turn into yours; i see you...
i see your smile;
i see you assuring me again;

i stir the coffee with the spoon i held with my thumb; the reflection has gone,

in reality

Nothing stays the same now, everything has change,

For now and also for the future,

the coffee that i drank is half full ; or half empty

whatever you want it to be;

because it has always been your calling;

i could only wish the best to you because you always had, and will always be!

For being there......

I’ve been missing my ex-colleague ever since I’ve quitted my job, not that my job was a really cool job but because I have really cool colleagues and we travel and have our session of makan –makan every now and then..

To Z:

I would really miss all the gossiping session that we shared, and truly you’re the one that always has open discussion also for the advice which is sometimes not so advisable but soothing to the ears when I’m really tied-up with work, Also for giving me word of encouragement when I needed it the most. will never forget our indulgence for tea break and lunch break…. You’re truly a great friend to share stories with….

To Big Sister C:

Honestly, I dun think she would have the time to read this but I jus want to know that C, you have been very modest throughout my days in OR, you are the very first person that I get to know and also the very last person I can forget! You make life seems so simple at times even thou what you go through is not easy everyday. You make me realize that there are more important things in life rather to get angry and be emotional over very small matters. You are the sweetest cause you choose your words properly and you would never intent to hurt anyone, you’re the nicest and you’re a great example for being this super patient person, you earn my respect especially when it comes to pleasing your husband. I can never forget that! C, thank you for being there…. You will always be remembered…….

To JacQ :

For the most out-going award, you are truly one person that fits the endurance test. From appointment to appointment, you never failed to impress me with your battery charged and the numerous energy that comes from within yourself. You observance and patient i will try to adopt; you remind me that time is essence because I seems to failed when it comes to running from one place from another. You can do that! JAC, thank you for being the person you are … I wish that above all you will always be positive in life!

To Ms. J :

Although you barely join us, but I truly enjoy the times we shared together, you make me laugh with you examples in life and your character is truly a classic comedy. You make simple things look difficult and difficult things look simple, in other way or another, you never fail to amuse me!

To Datin Joo,

Although we got off at a very bad start, I can assure you that the days we travel are truly and experiencing one. I will always remember the emo days that I need to go through few times in a week because you had a rough ride also the emo days that other staffs have to suffer. You remind me to bring my smile to work and to end my day with laughter. Of course, there are also great times after work when we paint the town red! :P, your conversation are the funniest ever especially when you add colourful vocabulary into the simple sentences that we talk each day.

To Uncle foo;

You remind me how a great dad can become; also they way u makan your food is simply hilarious… your jokes in office are the worst and the most pervert one, however in person you are a very nice man…

To the names that are not written here , well it doesn’t mean that you are not remembered... All of you are important and, I jus want you to know that I really appreciate all of you!

“What is your Forte ?”

“What is your Forte ?” the architect asked my boss, dressed in blue stripes shirt with white lines, you can almost see all the wrinkles on his shirt. His hair was in a mess and every time he talk, his eyes will twitch a little. In my opinion, he must have age between late 40s to early 50s. he looks like one of those people u see in the bar hugging two girls in his arms. But he was an aggressive man, he seems very experienced; not to mentioned that he had use bombastic words in his speech; he was shooting question which was his expertise.

My boss on the other hand is exactly the same type of person as the architect, maybe a little younger and the difference is that, my boss expertise was marketing. He too is an arrogant, egomaniac person who cannot tolerate people to harass him with question that he cannot answered, so he met his match.

Both arrogant people sitting in the same meeting room, facing each other trying to reach an agreement. In my point of view, they both seems to out beat each other rather than to come to conclusion. The other directors that were present were not contributing in stopping the heated discussion. It looked like they were watching a tennis match, their eyeball swinging from left to right. This was fun, well in my thought of course. But deep inside, I really wished that they could end the crazy discussion.

If this was a gamble; my side will be on the opposition party; why? Because the architect is on the developer side;, and we would need the developer to fund us in marketing activities, therefore whatever crap that was coming out from this architect which did not makes sense has to make sense now. This is the line; this is how the business is run.

In conclusion, well there was no conclusion…do you think its possible for two same kind of person to fight equally in this competition, I don’t think so…….. the forte?

Both stubborn people creating havoc…

work! work ! work!

My boss have been breathing down my neck recently after I had tender my resignation. In a way, he’s been beating my confidence down whenever I’m in d midst of accomplishing something.

Previously, There were some task that were delegated for me to do last week, but I can only do one at the time, so I have choose which one was in more priority and finished those that had dateline first. for the task that I’ve done; he had replaced it with another task, for those that were in the process of completing; my boss have been hounding me and making sure that I follow up closely via sms, calls and through conversation every now and then….

ARggh~~~

Its driving me crazy and now I want revenge : P

Well, I will not la ..but I am capable of doing so.. .. .. and, and I' still complete the task now, only a little slower.. i’m not trying to be a rebel although naturally I am but work is work and I try to be the best because I always wanted to be best.. …

I’m still considering now if I wanna continue blogging or continue working? Any suggestion?

Maxis drives me crazy!

I received a call from billing department yesterday stating that my bills were amounting to RM 1,225.00 and if I dun pay the bills immediately, they would suspend my line.

The maxis line belongs to my corporate line and it was link to my boss so that we can make free calls to each other everyday..bah~

However, I soon found out that the customer service had mistakenly sent out the maxis statement to another branch because the branch had moved and they had used the company name to register and therefore all statement were delivery to that particular branch. I was furious.. well~ of course….

Now that I didn’t receive the statement, I was angrier …

So I called up the billing department and told them that they had made a mistake and told them not to suspend my line or they can wait for my hotline complaint letter. The billing department then told me that she would pass me to the customer service department to settle my problem..and here was what happen….

Customer Service : hello, morning, khairul from maxis happy to assist you…

Me : yes, I’ calling from XXXX, its regards to my statement account no :XXXX which have been sent to another branch of mine. Can u clarify what is goin on?

Khairul : it says that you have moved to blah..blah..blah..petaling jaya.

Me : no, my address is still the same..its xxx kuala lumpur..please make sure you send all my statement to my original address.

Khairul : I can’t do that. I’m not authorize to do so, unless you write me an authorize letter to maxis so that I can change your address.

Me : bullshit! I didn’t authorize you to change my address to petaling jaya, so who authorize you to do so.???? .this mistake is done by maxis, I dun care how you do it, you fix it and send it bac to my original address!!!! why should I write an authorise letter..?? you should be happy that I don’t write a complaint letter to you…

Khairul :……………………… erm..let me check for u….. er,..i will report for u this matter to my billing department

Me : ok, give me MY case number!

Maxis had been very disappointing, in the afternoon, the billing department called me and stated that they receive a letter from XX…(the manager) had requested that the statement to be change. I told them many times that I will not issue such letter because there were many branches under my company name… the other party on the line soon found out that the letterhead carry a subang jaya address below, which means that the letter was not issued by me nor signed or authorize… which is utterly maxis blunder!

There was a silence before she said that she will check it out

Again? Check out?...how many staff does maxis need to check out that the letter was simply issued by another branch requesting change of address? How many?

Maxis disappoint me …!

I rest my case.

abby looks like who?

Ever since I’ve started working in KL, I’ve been staying with my grandparents whom is my mother parents. Everytime when I go for breakfast at the nearby kopitiam outside my house, I would get remarks like

“ aiyor, your granddaughter looks like XXX ( my mum’s nickname) when she was young”

Or

“ your granddaughter looks EXACTLY like yr daughter”

And on and on and on……on and on.....

It had always been the same comment and whenever I’m introduce to my mum’s friend or some new people. They would say that I look exactly like her…..( what the ???)

Anyways, here's a photo of my mum, everyone and me,

no prizes for those who can guess who is me...

I dun see where the resembles are because clearly, I’m more prettier than her….

(now if she reads this, she will totally disagree with all that I’m saying but as a matter of fact it is the truth…that I am prettier than her. ..hahahahahahahah)

Now take a good look and Abigail, Abigail is my youngest sister and she is this smarty pants whom u will enjoy talking to….

#abby is a charmer.....isn’t she cute? This photo was taken in Singapore at suntec. After feasting on some jap food…as usually , she will do weird poser for photo shoot....this one was quite normal cause it was really difficult to find one that was normal.....now everyone who knows abby will know that she looks like my dad, and she too knows that herself....

Now, this photo that you see below is my mum’s family tree… can you guess which one is she?

( Hint : abby looks like here )

Still can’t guess???.. omg! My mum is the second from the left….c'mon!!the two person seating is my grandparents….

They look somewhat crumple & crinkle up now in reality…. so better not post them up here!!

# take a closer look at Abigail in picture 2… now she does look like my mum…isn’t it…???

This photo was taken in hong kong if i'm not mistaken, now what do you know, its looks like those who looks like my dad coincidently also looks like my mum..? i think not??

So...if i dun look like my mum nor my dad...then my dad must be this rich tycoon la, mistakenly exchange when i'm still a baby..no wonder i have high taste for fashion and food...ok ok

I kid, i kid...

Or rather, my dad must have hutang ah long some money and had ask my current dad now to membesarkan me.......ok ok

I kid i kid that too.....

I was actually very happy to share this photo that i found yesterday at my grandma house while helping her to clean her cupboard...there were so many photos that i've found about my mum and there are certain pose that until today, elaine has some traits of it...i'm not gonna post those photos here cause later elaine will get emo la......

And if you guys found your parents picture...share it wid us also la...never mind that they wore bell bottoms or retro hair....

Bangkok - Part 2

As promised, this is the second part of Bangkok, the first day was basically random shopping at chak tu chak, didn’t buy much stuff thou, but it was a great eye opener to see everything under the sun being sold at one specific place.

The second day of bangkok trip,we hit off to the floating market, it is said that there are only few very famous floating market in the world!!!

The most famous would be Bangkok…Duh~

And of course another one is in Vietnam..

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Thailand is located about 105 kms from Bangkok. It took us about an hour and half from Bangkok to actually reach to the floating market. It’s because of Bangkok jam…. The stretch of the floating market is about 32 km. so we chartered a boat and rent for an approximately an hour or so….

If you wanna know more about the floating market in Thailand, then google it k? cause I’m not a Thai/ local and I’m jus briefly describing my trip which is less than 2 hours there. One should go to the floating market in the morning ….. cause it’s a market la…. cause nobody goes to the market after twelve… anyways please find photos for self-explanatory …

#one of the many stuff sold in the market, they were so many to choose from and you will be spolit for choices.... this boat here sells food, well, roasted pork actually...yummy licious...

# the candid shot where my fren cindy was too busy eating coconuts...

she said something like : i'm not happy if i jus drink it , i must finish everything....

very kiasu type wan...anyway, she did finish the coconut, the water and everything that is in it.....

Later after the floating market, we headed to somewhat place in between Bangkok city and floating market to have seafood. I’m bad a remembering names, so I totally forget the name of the place that we went and ate seafood….the route to the place where we had seafood were such in a total mess, there was no tar road, everywhere was muddy and people were driving like no direction wan.....

we felt that the taxi driver was taking us for a ride of our life....... we soon found out that the place is famous and the seafood is damn tasty and we had all this “kung kung stuff “ which is prawn in thai words…..

We had "Tom yam kung" seafood platter, sweet n sour fish, crabs, thai salad, steam fish....and i dun even know what else la its called... but there was so much food all for less than RM 150…. For the six of us.... cause we belanja the taxi driver also la, kesian la, he bring us go eat seafood then have to see us eat all this yummy food and he jus eat nasi pattaya meh?

of course we are not that stingy la, since he recommended the place, so we also belanja him to join us for lunch la...

if that was not enough, we went to china town and had bird nest too.... and some weird delicacies in chinatown itself...

Despite being tired cause we woke up at 7 to head to the floating market, we were still very enthusiastic to go for a walk in the night market which was very popular in Chinatown.

However, we soon found out that Bangkok local authorities had a regulations that they forbid to have any night market on Mondays, even vendors were not allowed to sell food at the street on Monday unless the authorities stated otherwise. So no luck for us, which only means that we should go home and sleep to charge out battery so that we can have a full day shopping trip the next day……

we woke up as early as 8.am the following day to go shopping......after breakfast we took a "tuk-tuk" to shopping heaven called "pratunam"

Pratunam is different from your local mid-valley or retail store because you get to buy your clothes, shoes and jeweleries for wholesale price. The rule is simple:

buy more than 3 clothes,

each design can vary from each other,

it could be a mix and match.. meaning:

jus buy more than 3 baju and the rest is history....

so within 2 hours of shopping, i have burn almost RM 800 for 40 clothes..

that's about RM 20 per dress,so damn cheap rite???

dun believe me??? well ...believe it!!

there are more than 15K shops around this area, if you have time, you can slowly go check out.....

Warning : the shops around Pratunam are relatively small so be courages and be ready to walk.....i've walk for more than 4 hours and you are strongly recommended to have strong arms.......well to carry your shopping stuff that you bought la..abuthen??

besides dresses, there were also many shops selling accessories vintage type which is my favourite and those of the odd types which are chunky and many more...

# jackie, ( aka colleague) is posing with the costume jeweleries in one of d shop.. with so much choices in jus one shop, my eyes also a bit blur blur....

imagine that we were in this street where they sell jus costume jeweleries every shop and each is different...

can die .. !!

the main problem about shopping here in pratunam... is that i didn't have enough luggage to keep all the stuff that i bought, even thou i have bought yet another luggage bag, there were too many stuff to get and i wanted to buy almost everything...

Luckily, i was accompanied by jackie ( picture above wearing red), she stopped me every time i go crazy.....

lesson learn: bring a big-huge empty luggage bag the next time u wanna go shopping.

Well, that all folks.. i hope you enjoyed reading about bangkok as much as i have enjoyed writing about it....if you have never been to pratunam ,bangkok! ( btw, thanx vic for yr camera, all picture were take using vic's canon powershot)

Go book a ticket now, with Airasia... ( now everyone can fly!!!)

I never said that I was normal

Before I start posting up the Bangkok side of part 2, I jus wanna share a little short story about me….

It happen this weekend, and I have been pretty much playing dressing up to work,

if you asked any girls,

They love playing dressing up;

That why when they were kids, they have dolls with hundred of clothes so that they could dress the doll up and imagine the doll will have its very own occasion.

Fast forward 20 years, the doll will basically turns out to be themselves because they will go shopping and by hundreds of clothes and dress themselves up.

Me?

I fall into this category of vain…..

Yes, I go shopping,

And I buy clothes that I love ….not one but more than that la ok?

And the clothes would jus be simply plain it there is not bags or shoes or bangles to go with…..

And yes…in additional, I also enjoybuying others stuff besides clothes as well…..

Bags, shoes, make-up, blings, yada- yada…..

Lets jus say I enjoy buying stuff for myself…sound selfish?...

you bet I do…..

I did mentioned that I was in Bangkok last month, and yes, there were numerous clothes for me to wear even up to this date. After Chinese new year, I have been wearing different outfit everyday to work until yesterday, because I have this particular shirt that I have wanted to wear ever since I bought it in bangkok and its not officially launched by me yet…. and I’m dying to wear it…..

Since it was a Friday , I thought that I may as well go for the rugged outfit that has been hanging in the cupboard calling my name to wear her…

A quick check at my diary shows that I will not have any appointment an so I did, I wore that outfit wid striking colour of blue and pink with plunging V-neck line..

I’ve matched my clothes with the boots that I borrowed from my mum and the handbag….

When I have reached office, my colleagues came over to comment on the clothes; the boots and the usual stuff that they asked…my boss..nope… he never bothered…

However, He was walking towards the pantry when me and my few colleagues were chatting about the clothes that I wore… a fellow colleague was trying to pull my boss legs and and said

“ hey boss, you see yr assistant everyday also wear until so “geng”

his reply came in quick “ I never said that she was normal”

…(in my heart, i could not agree more, people who knows me know that i;m "sot")

and there you have it….my fellow colleague gave a good laugh..

… I could not agree better, I have never been entirely normal when it comes to dressing up ..even..during childhood or even in church.. you can literally check with my homies fren, they will reveal the answers.. ..

be in normal or not….. … if you feel good today, go play dress up!

bangkok jam!

The title already speak for itself, this trip was a crazy trip..

Did you get that..

I said it again… “CRAZY TRIP”

It was a suppose to be a solely shopping trip,

But somehow we ended up in floating market..jus look and the pictures and enjoy k?

We boarded a 7.50 am flight and reach Bangkok around 10.05 am ,and since Bangkok was slower by an hour, it was only 9 a.m plus… what else can one do? we took a bus to bangkok instead of a cab, konon la wanna save some money.....We took thai breakfast when we reached bangkok city, please dun ask me what I had because I myself was also confused, it was somewhat sausage wrapped in wafer…mixed of salty and sweet ….. sorry ..no photo..lupa la….

In bangkok,

the taxi drivers and bus drivers always refer to this victory monument …

somewhat like our kl central…..

meaning that if you would like to go to chak tu chak market, they will tell that it is 15 mins from victory monument

or if you would like to go to Chinatown , then it would be 40 mins from victory monument,

their victory monument looks like this….

[VICTORY MONUMENT]

Lol, u must have thought I was somewhat glamour…..well, sorry to disappoint you , its not, but the roundabout is rather a very very big one...much bigger than your usual shah alam roundabout or the batu caves roundabout.......

but I was rather impressed with their overhead bridge which was about 1 km long,

if you notice carefully behind my beautiful face, you could actually see that I’m on top of the pedestrian bridge…..

[HEADING TO CHAK TU CHAK] via mrt...

Our first stop was chak tu chak market, this market is one of the very famous market in bangkok... the market is only opened during the weekend, Saturday & Sunday, and every piece of items you can think of is sold here,

Seriously, they were shoes, bags, clothes, plates, furniture’s, pets, foods, shrines, antics, accessories and blah.. blah blah….the many items that were sold, it was crazy….let me give u a brief imagination,

the shops were merely 6 x 6 foot,

the inner path was not wider than 4 feet; well except for the main road, and they were more than 30,000 shops..hello…30,000 shops…….

See for yourself….

t-shirts were selling cheap cheap....but seriously not all stuff can be bought here cause this market is basically our jonker street in melaka....

they only entertain tourist and most of them can actually speak english, which means ...~ duh~
toursit spot la....
if you must know, thai people dun speak english and the only language they speak is...well.. yeah...thai........and if you dun understand thai language, dun worry...jus say "mai kau jai"..... no serious...it means to say that you dun understand........

they were other items selling in the market like bowls and sushi plates and stuff that you can only find in ikea only way way tonnes cheaper......

the ceramics bowls and plates comes in different sizes, colour and texture.. and some were really cute.....i wanted to buy some but then i worried if it was possible to actually carry back everything to malaysia......but stil..... i was tempted to buy..but i was stopped by my fellow colleague who pleaded me to be rational.....

Fine! fine! who can be rational when everything is freaking cheap la......and did i mentioned that the strawberries were selling like any ordinary fruits vendor you find in malaysia..for only 20baht you could actually enjoy such yummylicious fruits.....ok ok , i know some of u guys dun really fancy strawberries....

but they were also jackfruit, mangoes, and pineapple...

they were super sweet and super cheap.....i think i had about 4 pineapples for a freaking 2days....

and i know what pineapples are ok....? so please dun ask why i had so much...if some of you know why girls shouldn't have too much pineapple..well....go figure........

these are the animals prints bolster, cushion cover, handbags and all sort of animals prints cover ... the shops itself looks like a safari.....

the market were also selling really really cute pet..for Less than 1000 baht, you could actually get one......

they were so damn freaking cute..check out the video here....
i'm not very good at uploading video, so please bear with me.....if it takes too long too load

we spent about 4-5 hours touring the market, we also knew that we have missed out many many shops, but out legs were tired, and our eyes were getting blurry from all the things we saw in the market, we were very hungry too and we almost passed out due to the heat and we could only save ourselves by catching a cab to the hotel....

[to be continued......................]

wil post it up soon....

Argument!

In every argument, there is never right or wrong

Because everyone wants to be right,

Therefore they will argue that the other party is wrong,

In the end, the argument does not end,

The heart is broken,

There is too much silence

No one is happy,

Yet, knowing that,

Nobody wants to come out to admit that there are wrong

Not because that their opinion is wrong,

Or they have lost the argument,

But the pride itself,

Because to start an argument itself is wrong,

Both parties is wrong,

Both parties get hurt,

Heartbroken,

It breaks the spirit,

Knowing the person you love,

Is not in tuned with you.

I would cross the road….without the bridge

After I was back from Singapore, I realized that the people here (Malaysia) are really different from what I saw in Singapore.

[ btw, i will sort my pic from s'pore and will post in up later here]

as i was saying, Pedestrian are priority in S’pore and having said that, the driver are always reminded…. to allow pedestrian to cross first. And I’m sure it applies everywhere else, well except for you know…Malaysia, the Land of Glory

People here drive with pride and glory alright, the glory of driving like a madman….

if you are pedestrian, then u better open your eyes big big because these drivers here are really crazy and if you think of crossing the road, as you know u should always : PANDANG KIRI, PANDANG KANAN & PANDANG KIRI BALIK when crossing the road

NEW TERMs in MALAYSIA IS THAT:

PANDANG KIRI, PANDANG KANAN & PANDANG KIRI, PANDANG KANAN, KALAU BERANI, LINTAS JALAN….. because you would never know when a mad man will ram across a red light and just when you expect that the car will stop at RED., you are wrong because Malaysian will particularlly speed at red light…I REPEAT : “SPEED AT RED”, “accelerate at yellow” and slow at green…..

Yesterday evening, I tried to get across the road heading bac to my house.. mind you the place where I’m staying is Gombak and currently Our DEAR Mr. SV is expanding our road..or so he claimed he was.....rubbish!! (PUI!Pui!) and imagine that I tried to cross a traffic somewhat like this:

ok, ok.....Maybe a little exaggerating , but I used to cross the road even when they are double lanes on both side…...

jus like a true Malaysia…I also dun follow the rules...i hate to use the overhead bridge and despite that there is a sign which says “ DENDA RM 500” . I tend to ignore the sign to save time and to save energy....

Back to my story, by the time I wanted to cross, I realized that the street lights are not working because of the upgrading work and it was already dark, also, my grandparents were talking the other day that a boy died while trying to cross the road, and the incident was a hit a run case..... and I saw the sign of the overhead bridge about 50M so..why not?

my first step was ok, as I approached the higher steps, i saw this freakish thing at the side:

ewww….. .. if that was not gross enough...... the smell of someone jus leave their landmark here… was utterly bad....

the smell was horrible, reaching at the top, it was impossible to actually walk because the bridge was flooded with water, the lights were dim and I think people who wants to commit suicide will come here….

Seriously, for a moment….the taught of being a good citizen to use the overhead bridge makes me puke…. the sight of mud and rubbish makes it an eye sore.... you really wished that you never walked up here.....

i try to rushed down as quickly as my feet could carry me, and because i did not want to hold on to the handle,i look like a crazy person balancing myself with my arms in the air while running down the stairs, at one point.... i almost slip because the tiles were wet....

i cant wait to get down from the bridge, after i have finally made it....

i was really happy...... and i swear.....

I WOULD NEVER NEVER USE AN OVERHEAD BRIDGE IN MALAYSIA…..

Resolution 2008!

Regardless of the many resolutions that I make every year, I realized that somehow it is very difficult to tick off everything that I have accomplished in the whole year,

However, this time my 2008 resolution are :

  1. To be on time

[I realize that despite that I always make an effort to wake up early, I have a tendency to snooze my alarm, so to make a change, I bought myself an alarm clock which goes… KKKKRINGGGGGGG when the time is up]

  1. To be simplistic

[ I’m not a complicated person, perhaps a little bit weirdo and sometimes crazy and I even bring my craziness attitude to my workplace, gonna cut down on it ]

  1. To sleep less

[ despite the many hours that I sleep in a day, I still feel the need to take a nap or sleep. An average people would need like 6 – 8 hours, but I would need 10 hours ]

  1. To shop less

[ I’m a shopaholic, please dun ask me how many dresses or shoes or bags or jewelry or clothes I owned, because I lost count, and hopefully I would be able to resist tempatation, but this would only be materialize after my shopping trip to Bangkok of course ]

  1. To praise other for their good work

[ ok , I admit that I usually don’t acknowledge someone’s good work unless they are really good for me to praise them, that would exclude kids, because kids can be good at anything even though they make a mistake…… so I should really start praise people at my work for the good works they have done..gosh I’m BADDDDD! ]

FIVE IS all that I need to keep for year 2008, I guess I would continue to improve and improve

Having said that, in order all my resolutions to work well, I would make sure that my heart is at the right place.

Right heart produce right attitude, right attitude will produce right action, right action will produce the right result.. ….

Have a nice day…………..
