Maxis drives me crazy!

I received a call from billing department yesterday stating that my bills were amounting to RM 1,225.00 and if I dun pay the bills immediately, they would suspend my line.

The maxis line belongs to my corporate line and it was link to my boss so that we can make free calls to each other everyday..bah~

However, I soon found out that the customer service had mistakenly sent out the maxis statement to another branch because the branch had moved and they had used the company name to register and therefore all statement were delivery to that particular branch. I was furious.. well~ of course….

Now that I didn’t receive the statement, I was angrier …

So I called up the billing department and told them that they had made a mistake and told them not to suspend my line or they can wait for my hotline complaint letter. The billing department then told me that she would pass me to the customer service department to settle my problem..and here was what happen….

Customer Service : hello, morning, khairul from maxis happy to assist you…

Me : yes, I’ calling from XXXX, its regards to my statement account no :XXXX which have been sent to another branch of mine. Can u clarify what is goin on?

Khairul : it says that you have moved to blah..blah..blah..petaling jaya.

Me : no, my address is still the same..its xxx kuala lumpur..please make sure you send all my statement to my original address.

Khairul : I can’t do that. I’m not authorize to do so, unless you write me an authorize letter to maxis so that I can change your address.

Me : bullshit! I didn’t authorize you to change my address to petaling jaya, so who authorize you to do so.???? .this mistake is done by maxis, I dun care how you do it, you fix it and send it bac to my original address!!!! why should I write an authorise letter..?? you should be happy that I don’t write a complaint letter to you…

Khairul :……………………… erm..let me check for u….. er,..i will report for u this matter to my billing department

Me : ok, give me MY case number!

Maxis had been very disappointing, in the afternoon, the billing department called me and stated that they receive a letter from XX…(the manager) had requested that the statement to be change. I told them many times that I will not issue such letter because there were many branches under my company name… the other party on the line soon found out that the letterhead carry a subang jaya address below, which means that the letter was not issued by me nor signed or authorize… which is utterly maxis blunder!

There was a silence before she said that she will check it out

Again? Check out?...how many staff does maxis need to check out that the letter was simply issued by another branch requesting change of address? How many?

Maxis disappoint me …!

I rest my case.

abby looks like who?

Ever since I’ve started working in KL, I’ve been staying with my grandparents whom is my mother parents. Everytime when I go for breakfast at the nearby kopitiam outside my house, I would get remarks like

“ aiyor, your granddaughter looks like XXX ( my mum’s nickname) when she was young”

Or

“ your granddaughter looks EXACTLY like yr daughter”

And on and on and on……on and on.....

It had always been the same comment and whenever I’m introduce to my mum’s friend or some new people. They would say that I look exactly like her…..( what the ???)

Anyways, here's a photo of my mum, everyone and me,

no prizes for those who can guess who is me...

I dun see where the resembles are because clearly, I’m more prettier than her….

(now if she reads this, she will totally disagree with all that I’m saying but as a matter of fact it is the truth…that I am prettier than her. ..hahahahahahahah)

Now take a good look and Abigail, Abigail is my youngest sister and she is this smarty pants whom u will enjoy talking to….

#abby is a charmer.....isn’t she cute? This photo was taken in Singapore at suntec. After feasting on some jap food…as usually , she will do weird poser for photo shoot....this one was quite normal cause it was really difficult to find one that was normal.....now everyone who knows abby will know that she looks like my dad, and she too knows that herself....

Now, this photo that you see below is my mum’s family tree… can you guess which one is she?

( Hint : abby looks like here )

Still can’t guess???.. omg! My mum is the second from the left….c'mon!!the two person seating is my grandparents….

They look somewhat crumple & crinkle up now in reality…. so better not post them up here!!

# take a closer look at Abigail in picture 2… now she does look like my mum…isn’t it…???

This photo was taken in hong kong if i'm not mistaken, now what do you know, its looks like those who looks like my dad coincidently also looks like my mum..? i think not??

So...if i dun look like my mum nor my dad...then my dad must be this rich tycoon la, mistakenly exchange when i'm still a baby..no wonder i have high taste for fashion and food...ok ok

I kid, i kid...

Or rather, my dad must have hutang ah long some money and had ask my current dad now to membesarkan me.......ok ok

I kid i kid that too.....

I was actually very happy to share this photo that i found yesterday at my grandma house while helping her to clean her cupboard...there were so many photos that i've found about my mum and there are certain pose that until today, elaine has some traits of it...i'm not gonna post those photos here cause later elaine will get emo la......

And if you guys found your parents picture...share it wid us also la...never mind that they wore bell bottoms or retro hair....

Bangkok - Part 2

As promised, this is the second part of Bangkok, the first day was basically random shopping at chak tu chak, didn’t buy much stuff thou, but it was a great eye opener to see everything under the sun being sold at one specific place.

The second day of bangkok trip,we hit off to the floating market, it is said that there are only few very famous floating market in the world!!!

The most famous would be Bangkok…Duh~

And of course another one is in Vietnam..

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market in Thailand is located about 105 kms from Bangkok. It took us about an hour and half from Bangkok to actually reach to the floating market. It’s because of Bangkok jam…. The stretch of the floating market is about 32 km. so we chartered a boat and rent for an approximately an hour or so….

If you wanna know more about the floating market in Thailand, then google it k? cause I’m not a Thai/ local and I’m jus briefly describing my trip which is less than 2 hours there. One should go to the floating market in the morning ….. cause it’s a market la…. cause nobody goes to the market after twelve… anyways please find photos for self-explanatory …

#one of the many stuff sold in the market, they were so many to choose from and you will be spolit for choices.... this boat here sells food, well, roasted pork actually...yummy licious...

# the candid shot where my fren cindy was too busy eating coconuts...

she said something like : i'm not happy if i jus drink it , i must finish everything....

very kiasu type wan...anyway, she did finish the coconut, the water and everything that is in it.....

Later after the floating market, we headed to somewhat place in between Bangkok city and floating market to have seafood. I’m bad a remembering names, so I totally forget the name of the place that we went and ate seafood….the route to the place where we had seafood were such in a total mess, there was no tar road, everywhere was muddy and people were driving like no direction wan.....

we felt that the taxi driver was taking us for a ride of our life....... we soon found out that the place is famous and the seafood is damn tasty and we had all this “kung kung stuff “ which is prawn in thai words…..

We had "Tom yam kung" seafood platter, sweet n sour fish, crabs, thai salad, steam fish....and i dun even know what else la its called... but there was so much food all for less than RM 150…. For the six of us.... cause we belanja the taxi driver also la, kesian la, he bring us go eat seafood then have to see us eat all this yummy food and he jus eat nasi pattaya meh?

of course we are not that stingy la, since he recommended the place, so we also belanja him to join us for lunch la...

if that was not enough, we went to china town and had bird nest too.... and some weird delicacies in chinatown itself...

Despite being tired cause we woke up at 7 to head to the floating market, we were still very enthusiastic to go for a walk in the night market which was very popular in Chinatown.

However, we soon found out that Bangkok local authorities had a regulations that they forbid to have any night market on Mondays, even vendors were not allowed to sell food at the street on Monday unless the authorities stated otherwise. So no luck for us, which only means that we should go home and sleep to charge out battery so that we can have a full day shopping trip the next day……

we woke up as early as 8.am the following day to go shopping......after breakfast we took a "tuk-tuk" to shopping heaven called "pratunam"

Pratunam is different from your local mid-valley or retail store because you get to buy your clothes, shoes and jeweleries for wholesale price. The rule is simple:

buy more than 3 clothes,

each design can vary from each other,

it could be a mix and match.. meaning:

jus buy more than 3 baju and the rest is history....

so within 2 hours of shopping, i have burn almost RM 800 for 40 clothes..

that's about RM 20 per dress,so damn cheap rite???

dun believe me??? well ...believe it!!

there are more than 15K shops around this area, if you have time, you can slowly go check out.....

Warning : the shops around Pratunam are relatively small so be courages and be ready to walk.....i've walk for more than 4 hours and you are strongly recommended to have strong arms.......well to carry your shopping stuff that you bought la..abuthen??

besides dresses, there were also many shops selling accessories vintage type which is my favourite and those of the odd types which are chunky and many more...

# jackie, ( aka colleague) is posing with the costume jeweleries in one of d shop.. with so much choices in jus one shop, my eyes also a bit blur blur....

imagine that we were in this street where they sell jus costume jeweleries every shop and each is different...

can die .. !!

the main problem about shopping here in pratunam... is that i didn't have enough luggage to keep all the stuff that i bought, even thou i have bought yet another luggage bag, there were too many stuff to get and i wanted to buy almost everything...

Luckily, i was accompanied by jackie ( picture above wearing red), she stopped me every time i go crazy.....

lesson learn: bring a big-huge empty luggage bag the next time u wanna go shopping.

Well, that all folks.. i hope you enjoyed reading about bangkok as much as i have enjoyed writing about it....if you have never been to pratunam ,bangkok! ( btw, thanx vic for yr camera, all picture were take using vic's canon powershot)

Go book a ticket now, with Airasia... ( now everyone can fly!!!)

I never said that I was normal

Before I start posting up the Bangkok side of part 2, I jus wanna share a little short story about me….

It happen this weekend, and I have been pretty much playing dressing up to work,

if you asked any girls,

They love playing dressing up;

That why when they were kids, they have dolls with hundred of clothes so that they could dress the doll up and imagine the doll will have its very own occasion.

Fast forward 20 years, the doll will basically turns out to be themselves because they will go shopping and by hundreds of clothes and dress themselves up.

Me?

I fall into this category of vain…..

Yes, I go shopping,

And I buy clothes that I love ….not one but more than that la ok?

And the clothes would jus be simply plain it there is not bags or shoes or bangles to go with…..

And yes…in additional, I also enjoybuying others stuff besides clothes as well…..

Bags, shoes, make-up, blings, yada- yada…..

Lets jus say I enjoy buying stuff for myself…sound selfish?...

you bet I do…..

I did mentioned that I was in Bangkok last month, and yes, there were numerous clothes for me to wear even up to this date. After Chinese new year, I have been wearing different outfit everyday to work until yesterday, because I have this particular shirt that I have wanted to wear ever since I bought it in bangkok and its not officially launched by me yet…. and I’m dying to wear it…..

Since it was a Friday , I thought that I may as well go for the rugged outfit that has been hanging in the cupboard calling my name to wear her…

A quick check at my diary shows that I will not have any appointment an so I did, I wore that outfit wid striking colour of blue and pink with plunging V-neck line..

I’ve matched my clothes with the boots that I borrowed from my mum and the handbag….

When I have reached office, my colleagues came over to comment on the clothes; the boots and the usual stuff that they asked…my boss..nope… he never bothered…

However, He was walking towards the pantry when me and my few colleagues were chatting about the clothes that I wore… a fellow colleague was trying to pull my boss legs and and said

“ hey boss, you see yr assistant everyday also wear until so “geng”

his reply came in quick “ I never said that she was normal”

…(in my heart, i could not agree more, people who knows me know that i;m "sot")

and there you have it….my fellow colleague gave a good laugh..

… I could not agree better, I have never been entirely normal when it comes to dressing up ..even..during childhood or even in church.. you can literally check with my homies fren, they will reveal the answers.. ..

be in normal or not….. … if you feel good today, go play dress up!
