randomness..

If its not because I would be going on holiday, my mood wouldn’t be so chirpy as off today..in less than 36 hours I would leave my office cubicle to shopping paradise , sounds a tad pathetic but then again…

Yes, I would be on holiday again for approximately 3 weeks, randomness had bought me here to blog today, my blog is wayyyyyy too dusty and overdue, but it also means that my life had been very blissful that I have no time to blog…

Will blog again

Of lemongrass n dusit

Another is a very random post. Last night, before I go to bed, I slather on the body lotion that I took from the hotel on my feet last night,

Do you know if u put lotion on your feet and then wear socks to sleep, u will have smooth heels the next day? It prevents you from having this ugly, hideous crack heels and u can wear those fancy shoes,

Anyways, the smell of lemongrass from the lotion reminds me of dusit thani, the place that I always stay in Bangkok. The friendly welcome “sawasdee” from the entrance of the lobby smells of lemongrass, the 5-star service that I’ve been spoilt of, the variety of western and eastern breakfast when you open your eyes, the endless room service that I can call…
Now Bangkok is just not that save to travel and I have been bumming a lot at home….

I forgot how to make my sheets when I wake up,

I forgot to boil water because I need it for coffee,

I forgot to do my laundry and forgot to sent them,

I forgot that newspaper does not deliver to my room,

I forgot that I need to buy juices to stock up my fridge,

I forgot that I need to on the heater and that there are no new fresh towels in my shower,

I forgot so many stuff,

I forgot that I am back at home…

Being back at home, I didn’t realize how much I been taking for granted of the services that I had in the hotel, now it seems that doing all this tiny little stuff takes quite some of my time , but then again all this errands that I’ve done makes me realize that the services provided are equally important and doing it myself, I learn to appreciate the tiny stuff that my mum have always done for me and everyone back at home . Everything was also washed, cleaned and put back into the place so we children could easily find them. My mum did not have housekeeping department or room service; she was the chef, the cleaner, the designer, the baker, the driver, the HOME MAKER.

Coming bac home, it’s like being in dusit, your mum does everything for, home is where the heart is and it will certainly smell of lemongrass too, well ..because slathering on lotion from dusit is going to last for quite some time too..

No more ole-ole Bali!

I miss having good food for lunch these days.
I miss having rice.
Sometimes i feel like having instant noodle,
Most of the time i feel like having latte after my lunch,

every morning i feel like having nasi lemak,
but muesli is all i stick to til end of next month,
in between work, i feel like munching on snacks,
cookies are my favourite,
but i can only munch on fruits now....

Argghhh.....losing weight frustrates me!

...from now till end of march, i have to forget all these,
i'm on a strict diet and i wanna lose my flabs around me,
thankfully, my colleague is here to accompany me,

i miss having ole ole bali for lunch!

ok, i damn emo when i look at the sambal ok.?

Version 1.01

My auntie had came down from china during chinese new year 09, ever since she married the ducth guy...she had moved to Holland and then my uncle was transferred to China to an international school there.... who speaks chinese (not bad for a dutch guy, even better than me), i actually have not seen her for quite sometime, moreover...i did not realise how much she actually looks like my dad only until recently... ( u guys should come bac more often, it's really fun!! )

perhaps when i was very very young, i never thought that people can grow old, your aunty would always remain like that in your memory when they left you...(in this case, she had left Holland)..my brain jus cant generate how she would adapt wrinkles or eyebags unless she send me photos of herself.. don't you think so?

and secondly when you were very young, who would had thought that my aunty is suppose to be my father sister cause my mother would have a hard time explaining to me what is relative, and why we call her aunty and how come my aunty also have the same parents like my dad....but why she would be holding hands with another guy which is completely different from us, blah blah blah....i can be quite annoying for a kid. my question would never end.....

back to my story, since my dad is the eldest child, he was the first version that my grandma produced, my aunty just look like the girl version..and its really funny when my siblings talk about it..she is a version of V1.01 cause my dad is V1.00...(my dad gotta be the orginal rite?)...and thus my uncle was categorise under V.1.03 who seems to be fatter version....

compare to me, i may never look like any of my siblings, thats because i'm much prettier..or perhaps i'm jus anak kutip..maybe my real parents are rich tycoon....
ok ok la, i know what u will say...dun dream so much rite?

but being the eldest, version 1.00 is the authentic one..

You dun think so meh?

The Day You Went Away

Well I wonder could it be
When I was dreaming 'bout you baby
You were dreaming of me

Call me crazy, call me blind
To still be suffering is stupid
After all of this time

Did I lose my love to someone better
And does she love you like I do
I do, you know I really really do

Well hey
So much I need to say
Been lonely since the day
The day you went away
So sad but true
For me there's only you
Been crying since the day
The day you went away

I remember date and time
September twenty second
Sunday twenty five after nine
In the doorway with your case
No longer shouting at each other
There were tears on our faces

And we were letting go of something special
Something we'll never have again
I know, I guess I really really know

Well hey
So much I need to say
Been lonely since the day
The day you went away
So sad but true
For me there's only you
Been crying since the day
The day you went away

The day you went away
The day you went away

Did I lose my love to someone better
And does she love you like I do
I do, you know I really really do

Well hey
So much I need to say
Been lonely since the day
The day you went away
So sad but true
For me there's only you
Been crying since the day
The day you went away

Why do we never know
What we've got 'til it's gone
How could I carry on
The day you went away
Cause I've been missing you
So much I have to say
Been crying since the day
The day you went away

The day you went away
The day you went away

Need to update more often!

Ever since taking up this new job, I realise that I haven’t got the time to blog and my blog looks like its covered with spider perhaps layered of dust. To add things worse, there isn’t any access to broadband because I’m been travelling quite often. Time past really fast and i noticed that my blog has been left idle for 3 months.

There were times when I was waiting at the lounge after checking- in the airport, I’ve been inspired by the people around me doing their thing and I really wanted to blog about life and how each individual is so caught up doing their thing. But everytime after the flight, my draft will continue to stay at the draft inbox and never really make it to the post that I wanted to blog about.

Anyways, I would like to give a big shout out to all my Muslims friends “ Selamat Hari Raya maaf Zahir batin” and remember to give me a call cause I love eating rending… ok kidding..but if you do open house, call me k?..lol

Also, my next trip would be in east Malaysia, K.K, so any of you guys who are going to be there, please gimme a call, we go eat scrumptious seafood k?.. the locals said that the seafood in K.K is really good and really cheap….

* * * *

On the other hand…….the market for property has been very slow lately, that’s is why I have some time to blog, which does not sounds like a good news. Many investors who previously bought property are now selling off their property because they wanna have more cash in hand, which means there is now more supply than demand. Also, the increase price in petrol and everything is not helping any better….but then again, if you have ample amount of cash, the right time to buy is now cause after recession, people will start to buy property again, and the price will go up and you have high possibility selling off your property at a later market and reap a return for 100% in the near future. Then again, its all my prediction. ..lets come back to this post and check out again if my prediction were true. : p....gotta work now, i'll update you guys with my recent awesome shopping trip to bangkok as well as what gwailos do when they are there...

work! work ! work!

My boss have been breathing down my neck recently after I had tender my resignation. In a way, he’s been beating my confidence down whenever I’m in d midst of accomplishing something.

Previously, There were some task that were delegated for me to do last week, but I can only do one at the time, so I have choose which one was in more priority and finished those that had dateline first. for the task that I’ve done; he had replaced it with another task, for those that were in the process of completing; my boss have been hounding me and making sure that I follow up closely via sms, calls and through conversation every now and then….

ARggh~~~

Its driving me crazy and now I want revenge : P

Well, I will not la ..but I am capable of doing so.. .. .. and, and I' still complete the task now, only a little slower.. i’m not trying to be a rebel although naturally I am but work is work and I try to be the best because I always wanted to be best.. …

I’m still considering now if I wanna continue blogging or continue working? Any suggestion?

Maxis drives me crazy!

I received a call from billing department yesterday stating that my bills were amounting to RM 1,225.00 and if I dun pay the bills immediately, they would suspend my line.

The maxis line belongs to my corporate line and it was link to my boss so that we can make free calls to each other everyday..bah~

However, I soon found out that the customer service had mistakenly sent out the maxis statement to another branch because the branch had moved and they had used the company name to register and therefore all statement were delivery to that particular branch. I was furious.. well~ of course….

Now that I didn’t receive the statement, I was angrier …

So I called up the billing department and told them that they had made a mistake and told them not to suspend my line or they can wait for my hotline complaint letter. The billing department then told me that she would pass me to the customer service department to settle my problem..and here was what happen….

Customer Service : hello, morning, khairul from maxis happy to assist you…

Me : yes, I’ calling from XXXX, its regards to my statement account no :XXXX which have been sent to another branch of mine. Can u clarify what is goin on?

Khairul : it says that you have moved to blah..blah..blah..petaling jaya.

Me : no, my address is still the same..its xxx kuala lumpur..please make sure you send all my statement to my original address.

Khairul : I can’t do that. I’m not authorize to do so, unless you write me an authorize letter to maxis so that I can change your address.

Me : bullshit! I didn’t authorize you to change my address to petaling jaya, so who authorize you to do so.???? .this mistake is done by maxis, I dun care how you do it, you fix it and send it bac to my original address!!!! why should I write an authorise letter..?? you should be happy that I don’t write a complaint letter to you…

Khairul :……………………… erm..let me check for u….. er,..i will report for u this matter to my billing department

Me : ok, give me MY case number!

Maxis had been very disappointing, in the afternoon, the billing department called me and stated that they receive a letter from XX…(the manager) had requested that the statement to be change. I told them many times that I will not issue such letter because there were many branches under my company name… the other party on the line soon found out that the letterhead carry a subang jaya address below, which means that the letter was not issued by me nor signed or authorize… which is utterly maxis blunder!

There was a silence before she said that she will check it out

Again? Check out?...how many staff does maxis need to check out that the letter was simply issued by another branch requesting change of address? How many?

Maxis disappoint me …!

I rest my case.

abby looks like who?

Ever since I’ve started working in KL, I’ve been staying with my grandparents whom is my mother parents. Everytime when I go for breakfast at the nearby kopitiam outside my house, I would get remarks like

“ aiyor, your granddaughter looks like XXX ( my mum’s nickname) when she was young”

Or

“ your granddaughter looks EXACTLY like yr daughter”

And on and on and on……on and on.....

It had always been the same comment and whenever I’m introduce to my mum’s friend or some new people. They would say that I look exactly like her…..( what the ???)

Anyways, here's a photo of my mum, everyone and me,

no prizes for those who can guess who is me...

I dun see where the resembles are because clearly, I’m more prettier than her….

(now if she reads this, she will totally disagree with all that I’m saying but as a matter of fact it is the truth…that I am prettier than her. ..hahahahahahahah)

Now take a good look and Abigail, Abigail is my youngest sister and she is this smarty pants whom u will enjoy talking to….

#abby is a charmer.....isn’t she cute? This photo was taken in Singapore at suntec. After feasting on some jap food…as usually , she will do weird poser for photo shoot....this one was quite normal cause it was really difficult to find one that was normal.....now everyone who knows abby will know that she looks like my dad, and she too knows that herself....

Now, this photo that you see below is my mum’s family tree… can you guess which one is she?

( Hint : abby looks like here )

Still can’t guess???.. omg! My mum is the second from the left….c'mon!!the two person seating is my grandparents….

They look somewhat crumple & crinkle up now in reality…. so better not post them up here!!

# take a closer look at Abigail in picture 2… now she does look like my mum…isn’t it…???

This photo was taken in hong kong if i'm not mistaken, now what do you know, its looks like those who looks like my dad coincidently also looks like my mum..? i think not??

So...if i dun look like my mum nor my dad...then my dad must be this rich tycoon la, mistakenly exchange when i'm still a baby..no wonder i have high taste for fashion and food...ok ok

I kid, i kid...

Or rather, my dad must have hutang ah long some money and had ask my current dad now to membesarkan me.......ok ok

I kid i kid that too.....

I was actually very happy to share this photo that i found yesterday at my grandma house while helping her to clean her cupboard...there were so many photos that i've found about my mum and there are certain pose that until today, elaine has some traits of it...i'm not gonna post those photos here cause later elaine will get emo la......

And if you guys found your parents picture...share it wid us also la...never mind that they wore bell bottoms or retro hair....

I never said that I was normal

Before I start posting up the Bangkok side of part 2, I jus wanna share a little short story about me….

It happen this weekend, and I have been pretty much playing dressing up to work,

if you asked any girls,

They love playing dressing up;

That why when they were kids, they have dolls with hundred of clothes so that they could dress the doll up and imagine the doll will have its very own occasion.

Fast forward 20 years, the doll will basically turns out to be themselves because they will go shopping and by hundreds of clothes and dress themselves up.

Me?

I fall into this category of vain…..

Yes, I go shopping,

And I buy clothes that I love ….not one but more than that la ok?

And the clothes would jus be simply plain it there is not bags or shoes or bangles to go with…..

And yes…in additional, I also enjoybuying others stuff besides clothes as well…..

Bags, shoes, make-up, blings, yada- yada…..

Lets jus say I enjoy buying stuff for myself…sound selfish?...

you bet I do…..

I did mentioned that I was in Bangkok last month, and yes, there were numerous clothes for me to wear even up to this date. After Chinese new year, I have been wearing different outfit everyday to work until yesterday, because I have this particular shirt that I have wanted to wear ever since I bought it in bangkok and its not officially launched by me yet…. and I’m dying to wear it…..

Since it was a Friday , I thought that I may as well go for the rugged outfit that has been hanging in the cupboard calling my name to wear her…

A quick check at my diary shows that I will not have any appointment an so I did, I wore that outfit wid striking colour of blue and pink with plunging V-neck line..

I’ve matched my clothes with the boots that I borrowed from my mum and the handbag….

When I have reached office, my colleagues came over to comment on the clothes; the boots and the usual stuff that they asked…my boss..nope… he never bothered…

However, He was walking towards the pantry when me and my few colleagues were chatting about the clothes that I wore… a fellow colleague was trying to pull my boss legs and and said

“ hey boss, you see yr assistant everyday also wear until so “geng”

his reply came in quick “ I never said that she was normal”

…(in my heart, i could not agree more, people who knows me know that i;m "sot")

and there you have it….my fellow colleague gave a good laugh..

… I could not agree better, I have never been entirely normal when it comes to dressing up ..even..during childhood or even in church.. you can literally check with my homies fren, they will reveal the answers.. ..

be in normal or not….. … if you feel good today, go play dress up!

Argument!

In every argument, there is never right or wrong

Because everyone wants to be right,

Therefore they will argue that the other party is wrong,

In the end, the argument does not end,

The heart is broken,

There is too much silence

No one is happy,

Yet, knowing that,

Nobody wants to come out to admit that there are wrong

Not because that their opinion is wrong,

Or they have lost the argument,

But the pride itself,

Because to start an argument itself is wrong,

Both parties is wrong,

Both parties get hurt,

Heartbroken,

It breaks the spirit,

Knowing the person you love,

Is not in tuned with you.

I would cross the road….without the bridge

After I was back from Singapore, I realized that the people here (Malaysia) are really different from what I saw in Singapore.

[ btw, i will sort my pic from s'pore and will post in up later here]

as i was saying, Pedestrian are priority in S’pore and having said that, the driver are always reminded…. to allow pedestrian to cross first. And I’m sure it applies everywhere else, well except for you know…Malaysia, the Land of Glory

People here drive with pride and glory alright, the glory of driving like a madman….

if you are pedestrian, then u better open your eyes big big because these drivers here are really crazy and if you think of crossing the road, as you know u should always : PANDANG KIRI, PANDANG KANAN & PANDANG KIRI BALIK when crossing the road

NEW TERMs in MALAYSIA IS THAT:

PANDANG KIRI, PANDANG KANAN & PANDANG KIRI, PANDANG KANAN, KALAU BERANI, LINTAS JALAN….. because you would never know when a mad man will ram across a red light and just when you expect that the car will stop at RED., you are wrong because Malaysian will particularlly speed at red light…I REPEAT : “SPEED AT RED”, “accelerate at yellow” and slow at green…..

Yesterday evening, I tried to get across the road heading bac to my house.. mind you the place where I’m staying is Gombak and currently Our DEAR Mr. SV is expanding our road..or so he claimed he was.....rubbish!! (PUI!Pui!) and imagine that I tried to cross a traffic somewhat like this:

ok, ok.....Maybe a little exaggerating , but I used to cross the road even when they are double lanes on both side…...

jus like a true Malaysia…I also dun follow the rules...i hate to use the overhead bridge and despite that there is a sign which says “ DENDA RM 500” . I tend to ignore the sign to save time and to save energy....

Back to my story, by the time I wanted to cross, I realized that the street lights are not working because of the upgrading work and it was already dark, also, my grandparents were talking the other day that a boy died while trying to cross the road, and the incident was a hit a run case..... and I saw the sign of the overhead bridge about 50M so..why not?

my first step was ok, as I approached the higher steps, i saw this freakish thing at the side:

ewww….. .. if that was not gross enough...... the smell of someone jus leave their landmark here… was utterly bad....

the smell was horrible, reaching at the top, it was impossible to actually walk because the bridge was flooded with water, the lights were dim and I think people who wants to commit suicide will come here….

Seriously, for a moment….the taught of being a good citizen to use the overhead bridge makes me puke…. the sight of mud and rubbish makes it an eye sore.... you really wished that you never walked up here.....

i try to rushed down as quickly as my feet could carry me, and because i did not want to hold on to the handle,i look like a crazy person balancing myself with my arms in the air while running down the stairs, at one point.... i almost slip because the tiles were wet....

i cant wait to get down from the bridge, after i have finally made it....

i was really happy...... and i swear.....

I WOULD NEVER NEVER USE AN OVERHEAD BRIDGE IN MALAYSIA…..

A treasure hunt adventure!

My granddad was schedule for a minor surgery for his hand on Monday, which is yesterday….under local anesthetic. Being a 76 year old, he needs me to accompany him and therefore I had decided to take a half day off since his surgery had been schedule to be 8.a.m.

I’ve reached the hospital at 7.40 a.m, my granddad has reminded me that the operation is held some sort of operation room in the main block. i‘ve dealt with the officer in the hospital before and god knows how much time they need to get things right. So I’ve approached the main block “ kaunter pertanyaan” (enquiries) to enquired where the operation room is..

Indian Lady : ini orto (orthopedic) department cik, sini keluar jalan sampai masjid belakang,

ME : ok ! Ok

So, I lead my granddad to some sort of orto department which turns out to be a 15 mins walk from the main office.

Upon reaching the registration counter, I knew I was late cause the time had shown 8.05 a.m. I approached the nurse clad in brown sweater and informed her that my granddad is schedule to have an operation at 8.

Nurse1 : cik, ini operation bukan sini la………….alar….kan dah beritahu pigi main block, apasal datang kot sini pulak???

Me : ( I was furious, and very angry too), saya pergi main block, itu orang India di kaunter suruh saya datang sini, sekarang u suruh saya pergi sana balik….and then? Kalau dia suruh saya datang balik?? Saya pun datang balik sini la…

And after my sarcastic commotion, another nurse approached and stood beside her, she took a look at the appointment card and told me to go to the main block( where I came from), she told me to ignore the indian lady at the counter, for she do not know what she is doing or where is the operation room is…

Oh my God!!!... that was the worse reason I’ve ever heard….then why do u put someone who is stupid to be in charge of enquiry??? What does “kaunter pertanyaan” means??

Fed up, I took the card and brought my granddad for another joywalk to the main office, which takes another 15mins....

This time, I went to approach the registration counter….the staff had told me to go to the emergency department at the main block…

“ Emergeny department”..what the hell……

“ bukan, ini orang schedule untuk buat operation la, u confirm I pergi emergency??” i re confiram again with the person at the registration counter

“ yalar……….”

I walk about 5 mins before I reached the emergency department, I saw the word “ PENDAFTARAN WARGA EMAS”, so I took the appointment card and showed the guy behind the registration counter.

He told me to walk behing to the the X-ray department where I will see and
“Pesakit Luar” (outpatient signage)… I should register there….he quipped and pointed his finger to some ghostly alley.

I walk again with my grandpa towards the EERIE alley and all the way left and right looking for this signage that the guy mentioned jus now…….while walking, I felt that I was a like a mad person in this amazing race hunting for clues and answer to my questions. It felt like I was an adventure of treasure hunt turning left and right opening hospital doors, only the difference is that there is no prize for guessing where the hell is the operation theater located……..

After I’ve found the signage (PESAKIT LUAR) , I approached the registration which says (X-Ray)….

(what the hell?)…

I’M ALREADY HERE…so I asked the person again if I’m on the right track…..

She told that I have arrived at the correct place, but the operation theater was to walk towards behind turn left go straight turn right and go into Door 3.

FINE….( I took a glance at my granddad and I knew that he was already tired from the walking, what more feeling nervous because of the operation and not knowing where he has been lead to…i wondered if he would breakdown any minute that time...)

I did as per according to what she told, after I entered door 3, I soon found the alley which was not larger than 5 feet wide. There sat another lady about my grandpa age dressed in tie-bac uniform which is ready for surgery…. She smiled and I could see all her wrinkles exposed from her face…

She spoke in cantonese and asked us...if we were here for surgery too….i’ve answered her yes in brief..

“ sai lei worr lei tei, kam tou hou yi wan tou” ( you guys are great, u manage to find this place)….

I’ve answered her that we have walk for merely half an hour before we reached here...

She couldn’t agree more, “ ngo wan seng yat ko chong kei lorr” ( she have also wandered around for more than an hour or so before arriving at the operation theater )

+ _ +''

I’d admire her enthusiasm because she did not give up even after one hour of searching. If I was looking for a place for more than an hour, I would choose to drive off and go home.

My granddad would had also went home if he could not find the place, because after the surgery he too did not know which way he had came from when I asked him if he knows which way we should turn.

But my granddad reminded me that if we ever need to come again, I’ll have to take another day off because coming to the Hospital is like going for a treasure hunt adventure!

Random

I’m blogging from work and despite I have a list of things to do, I’m here feeling random…. now, i really really feel like lazing at home on my couch drinking something hot…..

*Think*… Britney spears…she has accomplished all before the age of 30 , she has money as fat as her ass…. and now she is like this screw up mum with loads of problem in her life….and lost custody of her children..

Wakakkakaka… damn funny! :)

I kid, I kid… ..for someone who accomplished so much money but in return looses everything, it kindda sad, remember that she use to be this hot chick in “oops, I did it again.” ......Now its like “ ooops, I screw it again”..

Back to today…...

I think I’m a little crazy today, thanx to jason’s post about his snooze problem, I woke up late today, and I did the same exact thing, snooze mode till the phone give up on itself. If it wasn’t for my Grandad who came over and wake me up I think I will be late for work….again….well again here means I’ve been late this whole week since Monday, and although I’ve been sleeping more than 8 hours, I still feel tired in work and my mind somehow flew to “fashionista land” thinking of the shoes and clothes that maybe or later I can purchase

*SNAP OUT OF IT**

I think I should get some coffee to stay wake….
