sawadee.....

Sawasdee..... is what u greet people when u see people here in bangkok, unlike the Malaysian style "sudah makan? " we say sawadee here..ends with kaa if your are girl or kup if your are a guy, krup if you are neither..... being a part of bangkokians is not much fun at all, especially when everyone walks a lot. there is no point taking a freaking tuk-tuk or catching a cab when the speed is an average or 25km per hour,

Might as well walk to the BTS station and then walk some more again back to your hotel... i manage to bring my brother go sight-seeing while he was having a school break back in Malaysia. this is my bro amazed by the traffic jam every minute in bangkok, we were taking the other direction, it was too congested to go thru sukhvumit road...(sukhumit road is the longest and busiest street everyday , something like jalan sultan ismail, jalan p.ramlee back in kuala lumpur)

i brought him shopping of course, in the heart of the city, Yaowarat!!! ..means chinatown in bangkok, its near to hua lam phong station...or u can take a mrt there...but i reckon u that anyone should take a cab to Chinatown from the mrt, its a loooooong walk from there... when i say long , it means at least 20mins walk....unless you can really walk but malaysian will opt to take tuk -tuk or cab...cost not more than 50B or RM 5..anything more means you've been taken for a ride.....

my bro was amazed not only by the amount of stuff sold in chinatown , but also the smells the he pick up evry now and then, the are local thais selling main dishes with sweet and sour aroma and the opposite you have chinese -thai selling fish maws, with dried squid... now put the smell together and learn to distinguish which is aroma and which is smelly...i really have no idea at all....but here are some pics for you to see...

# one of the shop in chinatown selling fish maws.. the fish stomach here are pretty cheap compare to those back home in malaysia, or sabah or china...one packet is about RM 12 and its about 500G... fried one i mean...but mostly are fried...

u can also get shitake mushrooms here which is very cheap.... the chinatown in bangkok is much bigger than the one in kuala lumpur, say at least 10 times bigger, and the road 2 times smaller, very narrow.... everything congested in the bustling life instead of chinatown...the end of chinatown actually sells more accessories and jeweleries one can imagine....

# the width of the road in chinatown itself, only motorsai are accessible via this lane, if the cab driver choose to drops you off, then jus let them drop you off at the main street , the main street would look a little bit like hong kong, mong kok street... if you dun know how mong kok in hong kong would looks like then go figure :P

chinatown is a must see when visiting bangkok. of course you can also go see pat pong , then again people like me would have no interest in pat pong or you could go to the flaoting market but its about 1.5 hours drive from bangkok itself..we spend almost half a day in bangkok, chinatown. there is a lot to see and also a lot to eat if you like bird nest and shark fin, along some corners u may find food vendors selling fish stomach with bamboo shoots, try it!

at the end of chinatown would be thieves market, you may see a lot of Nepal and Pakistani in the street there..its not called thieves market if you think people there look like thives, or occasionally one or two may look like one :P , the nepal and pakistanis mainly sell cloth...you may be suprise that they actually speak fluent thai and english... they sell cloth in bulk...they are also sisha but the stuff are sent to pattaya or other tourist attraction places in the coast of thailand...

our journey ended around 4pm local time.... we were very tired when we reached the hotel. also exhausted from all the walking...

thats all for chinatown , more photos later!!!

Pre-shopping event

My aunt is in retail business and recently her shop had closed down and she has some stocks at home which need some clearance sale. She had invited me over to sell of her stocks to me at cost price.

" Cost price......Cost price...."

Being female, at such offer I would never resist…....

Since it was sold at cost price, every dress that I tried, and like…. would be actually put at a side. And since there is no price tag, I dun have problem deciding.

It was just try, liked it, buy it… soon after an hour, I find myself having a stack of clothes which looks to be like laundry from afar, however, when my aunt had calculated all of em’..it had only sum up to RM 200 + which is a very very very good deal for me considering that I have about 10 dress??? I shall show the pictures later…….

Can’t wait to wear all of them this week!!!

girls like bad boys....

My cousin came down to Port Dickson with his new girlfriend,

Let me briefly tell u about my cousin,

He looks like a mix of Japanese boy band,

But it is his character and his sense of humor that drives girl crazy over him,

in fact, I guess all girls like bad boys,

He used to be a driver, not ordinary driver but a lorry driver,

However in his speech when he is wooing any gurl,

He would say in a way that he is driving this vehicle than cost more than RM 300K,

And he would add that not many could afford driving that, because it has a very large cc

Its true that not many at his age are opting to be a driver, and not many driver has the license to drive a lorry,

He also said that he would meet clients everywhere in Malaysia but the fact is actually he is delivering goods to the client,

He would say that if ever he had chosen his path to be a superstar, Lee hom would be no where near to his success,

It really cracks you crazy and the giggle you can go on, and on..

I wouldn’t say that he is a liar because all he did said was the truth, but not the whole truth….

He recently switch job to be an assistant of the company that manufacture plastic in Malaysia. He is the driver to the boss and whatever his boss wants him to do,

Of course shortly, with his charisma, he had managed to make all the ladies in the admin department to giggle over his jokes and some even to get in bed with him…

.. Ok, I kid, I kid, about the last statement, maybe not that, but I dun know….

So this new girlfriend came down to port Dickson,

I can see that my cousin does his stupid move again by bringing her to the beach and melt her heart…

I guess to her, My cousin was very charming in the eyes of hers,

I can’t help but to notice that she only had my cousin in her world and everyone else around her was dead,

The whole time when they were there, you can totally tell what my cousin will do to actually romance her….

She would giggle most of the time and would blush when she noticed that our family was starring at her because u could tell that she was in love………

Of course, this wasn’t the first time my cousin brought a gurl down to Port Dickson,

And it also wasn’t the first time that each girl was different from the last time I saw them,

Yet, I ‘m amazed how all of them would fall for a bad boy like my cousin,

I guess all girls would like bad boys compare to geeky ones,

I would admit that I would too… but heaven forbids then I’ll meet one…

An Unforgettable Trip!

Last, last weekend,I went to Cameron Highlands, I’ve been there a few times before but we were there just for fun, This was my most unforgettable trip because I WENT TO Cameron without looking at my petrol tank, ok, maybe not all my fault, but part of it was the driver’s fault , nevermind if I’m d navigator… but STILL…ish…

After we checked out, We visited the place that we should visit while we were in Cameron, the usual ones: the Cactus, Strawberries, farm and blah blah, we left from Brinchang, and while we came out from the junction in Brinchang I spotted that there was only One Shell Petrol kiosk, so this was what happened..

Me: Wey, enough to go down Sg.Pulai o not?
Driver: sure can wan, no problem
Me: sure boh? Left only one (finger pointing at petrol meter needle)
Driver: that’s because we are driving upwards, so it looks like it’s empty but actually still got some more left.
Me: issit?.(maybe I don’t know much bout cars)
Driver: yes la…
Me: wokie… (since its your car)

So we was driving for a while or maybe more than that and I spotted a stone saying Simpang Pulai 35.. I don’t know whether its mile or kilometers, but i know its like still very far cause i stilll noticed that we were halfway down the mountains..

waaa…. 35 means got another half an hour only reach Simpang Pulai..????
Got so far meh?
when we came up, we also took about an hour......
issit?
what u mean? You were driving right?
then..like this..i dun think got enough petrol

i was speechless....because his tone is not funny at all....

u sure o not? Got reminder flashing?
Not yet, but soon, we’ll have to stop at a safe place already.
OH MY GOD! We are halfway now and I dun remember seeing any petrol kiosk man… (I look at my phone n there on my sony ericsson “no network” )
**( this is all pure sh*t, no petrol, no network, and middle of no where)..this is jus so typical la….. to make things worse...

Driver: eh the petrol sign blink already la, we really have to stop a SAFE place
Me: okay, okay….erm…. we stop infront la, ( there was a stretch of road that is quite straight in front, and we stop by…. And there was no car PERFECT! We manage to stop a biker, who said that the petrol kiosk is another 30mins drive…...

He did not want to offer us help until we offer to pay him a little bit of money…YEAH SURE….AND MALAYSIAN –BUDI BAHASA BUDAYA KITA- MONEY TALKS!

SO THERE, both of them went leaving me stranded here, I went and wait in the car, and knowing that there was no help, Duh, since there is no connection, my only way was to scream..in case anything happens…

but then again who will hear when I’m like no where covered by all this greenery…. insects? tree? aiyer.....U cannot imagine the agony of waiting for someone, and in a foreign place , (ok la although still in cameron but STILL?)

u feel completely lost, and fear off being kidnapped, hijacked and so on, my mind was driving me crazy…

I think after about 45 mins, they returned, and we had to pay the Orang Asli guy RM 50 for about 8 litres of petrol …that so FREAKING EXPENSIVE!

(sigh) but what to do? Who ask some smart ass to go down hill without filling the petrol tank…. So actually apart from this, we really had fun during this trip….

just go through the pictures la….sorry for bein cam whoring, I can’t help it!! LOL , no la, I seldom take pictures… (Slap slap) k k, jus enjoy …

Anyways, a picture means more than a thousands words, rite?
