Malaysia - 50th independence day!

On the 30th of August 2007, I had left office early to meet up my mum back in my hometown. I took a public transport because it was impossible to leave kl as all the major roads were closed due to the dress rehearsals for Merdeka. As I stood in the train and I overlooked the traffic and hustling of people getting in and out of the train. I remembered how it feels to be enthusiastic about the countdown.

My previous independence day since 2003 was celebrated with boost of alcohol not knowing the meaning of Independence Day. Of course back then I was still very young , and every countdown means a lot to my social life. By 8.30 pm I was all dressed, and with my super high heels, I was ready to take the dance floor after my dinner which would usually end about very late. After countdown, I would roam around with my friends then, looking for food at 3 in d morning.

Those were the days…… today however, as I sit here in front of my pc, I would rather celebrate my independence day and enjoy the company of my family and my close friends and escape the hectic jam and the crazy hangover i had in previous years.....

Yes, I have came a long way back then, although 4 years is not a lot but as I saw myself grew I also saw the country I lived in grew. People are more educated nowadays and although 50 years of independence is not a lot compare to Australia or America. But for a small country, the development was rapid and what I can see front my point of view, the country has already achieved much. From intelligent city in Cyberjaya, to Petronas Twin Tower and The Smart tunnel in Kuala Lumpur; Malaysia has outnumbered many established country. And of course, there are still rooms for improvement, but MALAYSIA would not be the same without me and you because we all play a part in molding and shaping our country be it now or the future.

And as for me, i’m proud to be a MALAYSIAN.. Happy Merdeka Day Malaysia!

Chinese new year (Day 9)

Okay, I don't celebrate the 9th of the CNY, its very famous among hokkien and not to mention in my house, did I mention before that I’m staying with my Grandparents?? So everyone was there, from my uncle auntie, cousin and so on….

Coincidently, I was home to celebrate this event with them and of course, it was the end of my break and I need to get back to work. It was nothing special until I spotted this:

WAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA…FIRE WORKS…IT WAS BOUGHT BY MY UNCLE. THERE WERE 4 BOXES OF THESE..

I had FUN!!

All travelling..

It was a non-stop travel mania during my chinese new year break, after I went all around to visit my family , my frens and ex-collegue, I was up to Genting, blah blah blah…they were thousands of people and everyone was there to “fatt tai choy”. Ok that’s not my point, actually WHAT I wanna stress is the importance of drinking H2o while traveling, seriously…

Let me just share something….after Genting, I was heading down to mallacca, for some really good and delicious food..hmmm yum yum!

We reached there about 8pm, I was terribly hungry and not to mention that during my whole trip I was dehydrated and binge on fried food plus coffee.

** BIG MISTAKE**

I caught infection immediately when I reach mallaca, when I wanted to pee, it was like taking forever, not that I could not pee, but the feeling really sucks!!! Its like you feel like peeing whether you are walking or sitting, even after u peed so many times. I felt totally embarrassed and I told my frens that I will rushed to the mall to get my medications.
[ hey, there is nothing funny about it okay, I’m sure that everyone will experience it, but I’ll jus share and sacrifice so that you guys would know how to take good care of yourself the next time you travel]

We were in a restaurant aka cum “da pai tang” or sort of ..something like ASIA CAFE in 15, its something new in Mallaca, I really don’t know what is the exact name but its some sort like that..it was near Melaka Parade.

We did some sprint running cause it was 10 pm or so.. and the shops were all nearly closed,I ran so fast like I never ran before, It was like in those movies, where the actor were chased by aliens, HUGE GRUESOME aliens!! and they were running for their life (okay..okay…a bit exaggerating)... HAHAHAHAAHA

but I was trying to out beat time, I out beat my partner as well, I think he thought I was crazy to run that fast leaving him behind. Anyways, I got my remedy …I bought the WHOLE BOX of “URAL ALKALINIZER” well since they dun sell the sachet and I was desperate. Of course, after that, I was healed.i NEED TO HEAL

SO PEOPLE, THE MORAL OF THE LESSONS IS: drink loads of water when u travel. Your body lose so much water and even more when u travel, not to mention the humidity that we have in Malaysia..

Okay, wrap up:
I really enjoyed my trip cause I get to indulge in loads and loads of iced cendol with over pouring gula melaka during my whole trip. I would like to thank Hsu for his warm and friendly tour during my stay. He was the local there. Thanxx…

Chinese new year holiday (Day 2)

Its been quite a while since my last update and now I will update cause I’m really busy during Chinese new year, it's either I’m munching on some cookies [yes people!!! I’m still trying to gain weight]
or I’ll be busy watching people gambling, not that I’m a gambler but I do enjoy watching people gamble, it a risk that they take… and when they lose the bet, gosh..u should really see their expression, especially when they are expecting to win and someone jus game faster….MUWAHAHAHAHHA
their face just turn into shocked mix with those perplexed look and I can really read in on their forehead [ HOW CAN THAT BE ??? ] and the next thing u can expect from them is ..( Nevermind, if I don’t win this round, I will win later) oh my gosh!!

On the other hand, the winner will be smiling and grinning…its like his lucky day and he will continue to think that it will be his lucky day the next and upcoming round, not knowing that his opponent is goin to devour him any minute ……so he better be in one piece cause the moment he slack, tats it!!! ..there is a new winner…that’s the problem with addict gambler, they’ll just stick their ass to their sit, whether they win, lose or draw…. I do find it really amusing, cause everyone has their turn losing and winning, I actually snapped pictures of them when they won, and those who lost, I really wanna post it up here, but hehehe..not very good la, posting their pictures here….. but anyways I jus hope that everyone enjoyed their Chinese new year!

What did I do on Valentine’s day?

Ok, first of all, thankz guys for reminding me about valentines day and for sorry for ffk my best bud,tj to karaoke or whatever late night movie he was planning.
Good gracious!! I wouldn't wanna know what further plans he has in store..

but I just dun celebrate because it so commercialize nowadays and not to mention all the stupid people paying hefty price for flowers, chololates, teddy and more rubbish.. “be mine!, be mine!” yucks….

No harm to those who celebrate, seriously.. Valentines should be celebrated all 365 days and only morons celebrate on the one n only February 14th.

Yes, its true.. I did not want to contribute to the people who take advantage of this day, whether is valentines or mothers day. So I stayed at home and contribute my money to pasar malam…for scrumptious food…..(yum yum)

So if you are ever planning to blown up on valentines, my suggestion is to used up the money to buy your girlfriend a GOOD DINNER, may it be at San Francisco Steak, Crabby HONG Kong S.A.R …so that both of you will enjoy licking and sucking the crabs…(good practice for the later program)…;p or just western cuisine at an ordinary cafe. AFTER ALL, It will cost the same for the 3 stalk of lilies that you bought, that will soon fade away OR the STUPID teddy that decided to sit at a corner of the top cupboard because it starting to collect dust.

Hey, who wanna hug a teddy when the gurl can hug a real man….. get what I mean guys..??

The Perfect Gift!

Christmas is just around the corner, and let me tell you, I rather give an “Ang Pau” rather than to fumble and walk to search for that perfect gift! With an “ Ang Pau” you won’t have to worry buying the wrong gift and it also means cash for the other party..It’s a win win situation…

If only Christmas have this kindda rule of giving out “ang pau”…then it would be much easier, it was difficult choosing and shopping for them (my family), I thought that I would be an easy task since I’ve know them and they have been so part of me, it would be a piece of cake! I later found out no matter how close we were, I neglect the most common stuff…… their size, their colour, ect etc. (Sigh) All this while I thought that I really knew them, but as they continue to grow every year, I also knew that their taste are likely to change from year to year.

I researched how the gift would be perfected for them based on their character....(no kidding) I learnt to discover what my sister would prefer in colour, their actual size, the cutting, design, brand, trends etc. I was also worried what their expression would look like if they had unrevealed the gifts I bought for them. Would they love it, would they just pretend to make me happy?

Mind YOU, I spent my shopping at 3 places and took about 8 hours in total. But anyways, when I take a look at the gifts, I was very happy with what I’ve achieved. I manage to buy gift according to what they like…well of course they would not know what is it like but it was worth it because I Know THEY would LOVE IT!

Guys, dun worry, as friends… I would not miss your part k? u guys know who you are……..

It had been a wonderful experience shopping for all of them and I would look forward again for the coming year. I’ve learnt to know that no matter how much the gifts cost, The Perfect Gift would actually comes from the heart. That way you won’t go wrong..!
